1. THERE IS A VACANCY ON THE ABOVE PARISH COUNCIL.
2. A BY-ELECTION TO FILL THE VACANCY WILL BE HELD, IF WITHIN 14 DAYS (not counting Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday or Bank Holidays) FROM THE DATE BELOW, TEN (10) ELECTORS FOR THE PARISH GIVE WRITTEN NOTICE TO REQUEST THAT THE VACANCY BE FILLED BY ELECTION TO THE RETURNING OFFICER, CHICHESTER DISTRICT COUNCIL, EAST PALLANT HOUSE, 1 EAST PALLANT, CHICHESTER, WEST SUSSEX, PO19 1TY (Telephone 01243 521010).
3. THE NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN IN WRITING OR ON A FORM OBTAINABLE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE RETURNING OFFICER AND MUST INCLUDE THE ELECTORAL NUMBERS OF ALL ELECTORS REQUESTING THE FILLING OF THE VACANCY BY THE ELECTION PROCESS.
4. IF NO SUCH NOTICE IS GIVEN WITHIN THE TIME ALLOWED, THE PARISH COUNCIL WILL FILL THE VACANCY BY CO-OPTION.

Fishbourne Parish Council works closely with Chichester District Council which is responsible for waste collections; planning permission; social housing; council tax; car parking and much more.
The Parish Council also works together with West Sussex County Council which is responsible for the highways; education; social care and health; libraries; births, marriages and deaths registration; fire service and a lot more.
