Her eight novels and short story collections – include the Languedoc Trilogy\, and Gothic fiction The Winter Ghosts and The Taxidermist’s Daughter.\n11.15-12 noon. John D Burns – Whose Land is it anyway? John D Burns’ blend of storytelling\, theatre and humour explores wild places and campaigns for their wildlife.\n12.30-1.15pm. Nicci French – Partners in Crime Husband and wife team Nicci Gerrard and Sean French \, talk about their new thriller ‘The Lying Room’ and how their collaboration came about.\n2.00-2.45pm. Claire Fuller – English Country Houses in Fiction. Claire takes a look at some favourite books where the English country house is a character in its own right\, including Claire’s latest novel\, ‘Bitter Orange.’\n3.15-4.00pm. William Shaw – See the world through crime-tinted glasses. Crime fiction might be viewed as ‘escapist\, but writer William Shaw insists it’s the literature that’s saying the most about our world at the moment.\n\nSunday 29th March\n\n10.00-10.45. Paul Kerensa – Writing TV\, Books\, and Everything Else That Crops Up. Writer for BBC1’s ‘Miranda’\, ‘Not Going Out’\, and countless well known actors\, Paul plays comedy clubs and cathedrals as a popular comic.\n11.15-12.00noon. Deborah Moggach -‘ My Writing Life’ Deborah Moggach talks about her latest novel “The Carer”\, her adventures in Hollywood\, and the hit movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.\n12.30-1.15. Olivia Fane – Why Sex Doesn’t Matter. Olivia Fane looks at the politics\, obsessions\, and misconceptions about this aspect of existence.\n2.00-2.45. Phil Hewitt – Outrunning The Demons. Phil has used running to beat back the demons of PTSD following being viciously knifed in 2016. He wrote ‘Outrunning The Demons’ as a result.\n3.15-4.00pm. Dr Miles Leeson ‘The Roaring 20s : Part\, Present and Future’ Looking at literature and the role it plays in our culture.
