DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss Chichester’s first Emergency Services and Community Day on Sunday 24 August people are being reminded to get the date in their diary. \nThe event is free to attend\, and people are invited to come along to Oaklands Park between 10am and 4pm for what promises to be a fun-filled family day out. \nThroughout the day there will be an exciting programme of educational live demonstrations from fire\, police\, ambulance\, and coastguard crews and visitors can expect to see a range of current and historic emergency services and military vehicles on display. \nChildren and families can enjoy music\, entertainment\, and activities including bouncy castles and fairground rides. A variety of refreshments will be available from food vendors and concessions along with dedicated picnic and play areas. \nA range of interactive community stalls run by local charities\, small businesses\, support services\, and organisations will be available to browse\, and visitors can also bring their pets along for dog behaviour and training advice. \nAnton Mezzone\, Station Manager at Chichester Fire Station\, said: “We are very excited for this event and the opportunity to bring all our emergency services partners together to showcase the fantastic work they do. \n“There will be something for everyone to enjoy including live demonstrations and performances\, a display of fire engines\, police vehicles\, ambulances\, and helicopters\, children’s activities\, and interactive community stalls. \n“This is the first time an event like this has been held in Chichester for more than 25 years. The aim is to promote greater community resilience and provide an inclusive and memorable event for residents and visitors alike. We cannot wait to welcome everyone to this event\, and we hope to see lots of people there.” \nThe event is being organised by West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service in collaboration with South East Coast Ambulance Service\, Sussex Police\, HM Coastguard\, West Sussex County Council\, Chichester District Council\, and Chichester City Council in support of the Fire Fighters Charity.

DESCRIPTION:Are you a keen gardener or just getting started? Grow Selsey Seed & Plant Swap is a great opportunity to share\, learn\, and pick up something new for your garden. \nBring along your spare seeds\, seedlings\, or plants to swap\, or just come for a chat and some gardening inspiration.  We also have lots of pots\, trays\, and tools\, and our homemade preserves produced from fruit collected during the Abundance Fruit Project. \nGrow Selsey is a project which involves local people in a variety of sustainable gardening projects in and around the Selsey area.  We run The Hidden Garden\, a community garden\, designed to help and inspire people to become involved with growing fruit\, vegetables\, herbs and flowers along with providing spaces for wildlife to thrive.  Looked after by a dedicated team of volunteers we work with local schools\, adults with learning needs and host Forest School projects.  We also offer the local community a kitchen waste recycling scheme using our Ridan Food Waste composter to create material to feed our community garden. \nFree entry

DESCRIPTION:Residents of Selsey are opening their gardens once again\, with 25 gardens available to explore and several new gardens taking part for the first time. There will be something of interest for everyone. Gardens of all shapes and sizes with innovative features\, spaces for nature\, and lots of exciting ideas to inspire your own creations. \nCome and experience live entertainment including The Selsey Shantymen\, The Selsey Molls and Cloud Nine Musical Theatre. \nThe Selsey Hop-on Hop-off Shuttle Bus will be running a continuous loop around Selsey taking in most of the gardens with a number of pick-up/drop off points.
